The first step to studying abroad is thorough research about what this journey actually entails. Deciding to study abroad is a major decision and it is not possible to make a concrete decision unless you know all the ins-and-outs and know-hows of studying overseas. Dive into a rabbit hole of information about countries, universities, courses, campus life, living abroad experiences, course curriculum, research modules and post-study career opportunities. Talk to your friends, families and acquaintances and seek advice and insights from people who already have traveled down this same path.

Once you have made the decision to study abroad, make an appointment with our counselors at Wisdom Education. Our certified experts will help you throughout the entire process of studying abroad. They bring a wealth of information with them as they have themselves studied abroad and experienced the same nervousness and excitement that you are. They can provide ample advice and information about your preferred destination or course of study. But your choices will always be the number one priority!
Bring your preferences and course wishlist to your appointment. Your counselor will meticulously read through the details, understand and discuss your needs and wants and align your aspirations with the best-suited university and study path.
During your appointment, please ensure to bring your identity verification documents (valid passport, NID, passport photo) and academic certificates, starting from HSc, SSc/ GCE ‘O’ levels & A levels result certificates (original results/transcripts), and bachelor’s certificate (if applying for masters).
3. Application Process
Once you have selected your study destination and university, it is time to apply. Your counselor will support you fully throughout the university and course application process whilst adhering to the highest possible standards and ethics. They will personally contact your university to provide a full picture of your needs, wants, passions and enthusiasm for studying abroad to ensure that you are successfully accepted into the university.
4. Accepting the Offer
Once your application has been received by the university, they will thoroughly evaluate your application, and meticulously verify and read through each and every section. They will notify you of the result after a few weeks (longer for postgraduate applications).
Successful applicants will receive an offer letter and an acceptance form. Your counselor will carefully go through the offer letter with you, making sure you understand any and all conditions thoroughly before you accept the offer. If you have received multiple acceptances, your counselor will help you understand each and every one of the offers in order to help you make the right choice.
5. Student Visa Assistance
After accepting your offer, applying for your visa becomes the top priority. Every country has a different process and different formalities to fulfill, and your Wisdom Education counselor will guide you through the entire process. From what documents you need to submit, to getting an appointment at the embassy to helping you succeed in your interview, your counselor will be there every step of the way.
6. Get Ready for Your Adventure

Before departing on your journey, there’s a checklist of crucial tasks to complete and your WISDOM EDUCATION counselor will assist you at every step. From currency exchange, insurance, accommodation, to SIM cards, opening a foreign bank account, transportation systems and adapting to a new culture, we’ll guide you. In addition, our pre-departure sessions will equip you for a wonderful and stress-free student life abroad.
